Welcome to Violet Elizabeth Canterbury
At Violet Elizabeth, dressing well begins with feeling good, and doing good. The label’s guiding ethos blends vibrant self-expression with a conscious commitment to sustainability, resulting in pieces that are as joyful as they are considered. Drawing on a rich tapestry of experience, from Savile Row precision to Venetian tailoring and London’s eclectic fashion scene, the brand marries classic silhouettes with natural fabrics, reimagined in bold prints and unapologetically vivid colour.
Each piece, whether bespoke or prêt-à-porter, is designed in-house and crafted using fair-trade materials sourced through community projects, charities, NGOs and recycling initiatives worldwide. There’s a palpable sense of discovery woven into every collection, celebrating artisanal textiles and the stories behind them.

Our Story
The combined experiences of working on Savile Row, Venetian tailoring and London fashion has lead to a unique combination of traditional silhouette and styles in bold prints and vivid colours utilised to create the unique and quintessential range we have all come to love. All garments are designed and cut in our workshop above the shop which is often open to the public. Many pieces are made in store and some within a 30 mile radius of Canterbury by our Violet Elizabeth tailors.
